Position: Collection Officer

Role Summary:
The Collection Officer is responsible for recovering overdue gold loan amounts from customers, ensuring timely follow-up, maintaining customer relationships, and safeguarding the bank’s interests. The role requires strong communication, field visit skills, and understanding of gold loan processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Follow up with customers for overdue and pending EMI/interest payments on gold loans.
Conduct field visits to customers’ residences or business locations for collections.
Ensure timely recovery of overdue amounts while maintaining professional behavior.
Educate customers about repayment schedules, penalties, and auction rules.
Coordinate with the branch team for updating collection status and loan records.
Prepare daily collection reports and submit to the branch manager.
Assist in pre-auction and auction-related activities as per bank policy.
Identify potential risk accounts and report to seniors for further action.
Maintain customer service and relationship management during the collection process.
Follow all bank compliance and RBI guidelines related to gold loan collections.

Required Skills:
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of gold loan operations (preferred).
Field collection experience (1–3 years preferred).
Ability to handle pressure and interact with different customer types.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, mobile apps).
Must have a two-wheeler for field visits.

Qualifications:
Minimum 12th pass; Graduation preferred.
